Behind My Photographs (non-wedding)
Lot of people asked me, how do i look in my assignment. Well, I answered...definately like a photographer. Some people said, "Apa susah sangat ambik gambar, ambik camera petik jer". Today I want to show u a few shots behind the behind of the camera. Why people paying the photographer more than the price of a hi-end camera (in certain case)? Is that because taking photo is just snapping the shutter?
Angle, Composition, Anticipation, Creativity, Artistic value, Visual Impact and all other minor things. That what make "PHOTOGRAPHY" an expensive product in town.
CAMERAMAN Vs PHOTOGRAPHER
Last year March, I was in Melbourne. I was one of the guest in an award ceremony organised by AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photographer). A body that certified all "Professional" that achieve their par to be called "Professional"...otherwise they called them "Cameraman".
What are the differences between a Cameraman and Photographer?
If you want to engage someone to take pictures well...hire a Photographer not cameraman. 1 significant difference between them is...somebody can be a cameraman and just cost them the price of a "camera" in the store. But...to be a photographer, it's a different story. Photographer is the person that could perceive beyond the camera. E.g the angle, the moment, the visual impact, colours, contrast, anticipation, arts, motion, expression and many more things and render it through their cameras. This is what we called..."The Art of Seeing".
If u ever asked what make a "Photographer" muccchhhhhhhh expensive compared to a "Cameraman"...then now, u know why.
Well, here are a few pictures that collected from my assistant's camera as well as my wife's one. ENJOICE!!
5 Hari Selepas Kebangkitan Semula - Away Notice
This is the trip that has been planned b4 the robbery.I'll be away from now to Sunday for a business & leasure. It's for a magazines (A soon to be international Travel magazine). At the same time, this is maybe the best time for me and wife to be away from all the hectic world here and stay by the beach side. I received a shipment from USA last night, and Thailand will be the best place for me to test ride it. Just wait for the excitement. Definately it will be shared with all of u. It has been 5 days after the "tragedy". I'm so lucky having VERY committed staff, photographers and my wife around. They work really hard and they love CS like i love CS. And I love them like I dont have anyone else in this world.
THe re-construction of CS billed me a lot of money. Some, we didn't even have it on the spot. A few machines we need to order straight from Washington and will reach here fastest in 5 working days. I have no other options, i have to put back our company reserve fund to pay the bills of "Re-construction". But this time I believe, we'll move to a greater height. Our spirits getting many times stronger. In the end i realize, it's all about "My Drive"...if I decided to "give-up", this is the best time. If I decided to "go-ahead"...this is the best challenge. I'm thankful for having a lot of supporters around me and CS. We received hundreds of messages thru our SMSes, Email, PM, FP and YM. Some of our pending customers pun ada yg straight away book us as another way in supporting us, ada yang bayar advance tak kurang juga yang membantu dgn beberapa projek2 yang insyaAllah boleh membawa naik semula CS.
Saya sayang CS, saya sayang semua orang2 yang talented dalam CS ini termasuk Ainiyah, yang rajin dalam soal2 pengurusan syarikat dan dia juga lah yang jadik receptionist most of the time as well as the one yg selalu attend customers when I'm not around. She's very definate with what the company wants. I love Jay & Shafiq as our most talented designers as well as our photographers. Eventhough we know them less than a year, but they are really tremendous in their work. Very responsible and very passionate with what they do. You should judge it from the pictures taken and most of all...their "award winning" album design. I love Adi Nang (my brother) and Ahim (Brunei) for being my supportive partner. They are with me in up and down. They really dependable. Eventhough we face a lot of arguments but it always for the good sake of the company. I love Mukhriz & Udey for being our loyal photographers since years ago. They have been improving a lot from the 1st time i trained them. They are now shoot more pictures than rubbish. Unlike in their early days.Their passion in wedding is something undeniable. I love all my junior team Mel, Jo, Fizzie, Fid, Carlos dan yang mana2 lain yg tertinggal. I love all my friends and families that always there for laughter & tears. I love all people around me including all those readers here. Thanks for still reading my "Broken Terrible and Miserable Ingrish".
To everyone I love...I PROMISE!! I will do ANYTHING to RAISE CS again!!
